INCA JUNGLE TOUR
The Inca Jungle 4 days / 3 nights was recently discovered and belongs to the Inca’s royal road to Machu Picchu, there are archaeological remains and beautiful landscapes on the route. Cycling and trekking in the Peruvian Amazon, four days of travel, which ends with the sunrise scenes in the Inka city of Machu Picchu. The trip includes a guided tour of the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.
Day 1: Cusco – Abra Málaga – Huamanmarka – Santa María
We will start the Inca Jungle 4 days / 3 nights at 7:30 a.m. with the pick up from the hotel. We will leave in a mini vans (mobility) with direction to the Sacred Valley, crossing the towns of Chinchero, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo; towns that belong to the Sacred Valley. Then we will arrive at the Abra Málaga (4316 masl or 14160 feet), where we will be able to appreciate the majestic snow of Huacay Willca (Verónica). From this place we will begin our descent by bicycle, going through different ecological levels such as: Puna and cloud forests (both contain an immense range of flora and fauna). We will finish the trip by bicycle in the archaeological remains of Huaman Marq’a, specifying our route in the town of Santa María (approximately 1200 m.s. or 3937 feet). Overnight, dinner and breakfast the next day. Optional activity Rafting.
Day 2: Santa María – Qellomayo – Hot Springs – Santa Teresa
After a delicious breakfast, we will start the walk to the town of Santa Rosa (about 1 hour), crossing the ancestral Inca Trail (Qhapaq Ñan). From this place, we will see birds such as: parrots, hummingbirds, eagles and the plantations of Coca, coffee, yucca, fruit trees (orange, mango, banana). We will have a rest and talk in the town of Pispitayuc, where we can relax. Restarting the walk you will see beautiful and impressive landscapes of the Vilcabamba mountain range, which will have the town of Qellomayo as its final point. In this place we will have lunch and start the last part of the walk, passing through the thermal baths of Cocalmayo (optional visit) and arriving at the town of Santa Teresa. Overnight, dinner and breakfast the next day. Optional activity Zip line (tiroleza).
Day 3: Santa Teresa – Hidroeléctrica – Aguas Calientes
Continuing for the legacy left by our ancestors, we will walk for 2 hours, to see the waterfalls. Also, we will see coffee and coca plantations arriving at Hidroelectrica (1900 masl or 6270 feet). After lunch, we will continue along the train tracks until we reach the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will stay and have the afternoon free. At night we will meet for dinner and plan the climb to Machu Picchu the next day.
Day 4: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Ollantaytambo – Cusco
At 4:00 a.m. and after breakfast, we will begin our trek to the citadel of Machu Picchu for an average of one hour. At the entrance to the Inca citadel, you will show your entrance ticket to start with a guided tour of approximately two hours. After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore Machu Picchu on your own and go up to Huayna Picchu (optional, you must book in advance). In addition to other places such as: the Inca Bridge and the Puerta del sol. At the end of our expedition in Machu Picchu, we will descend to take our train to Ollantaytambo, where we will be waiting for the mobility that will take us to Cusco. End of our Inca Jungle 4 days / 3 nights.
